We started Heplon to give them a force multiplier: something that scales their expertise and evolves their platform without adding to their workload.

Before Heplon, Simon was a Staff Platform Engineer at DeepL, where he worked on everything from tweaking kernel parameters to building infrastructure abstractions for developers. When he is not thinking about platform engineering, you can find him going for long runs through the woods.

Marvin Strangfeld

Before founding Heplon, Marvin was a Staff DevOps Engineer at DeepL and a founding member of its Developer Experience team, where he built the platforms and workflows used by over 300 engineers. Outside of work, he sails when the weather cooperates and plays whichever instrument is closest at hand.
