We help platform engineering teams deliver an outstanding developer experience.

Platform friction takes many forms: a pipeline that fails for an unclear reason, a Helm chart that needs updating, technical docs that mislead. Each one costs developer time.

Building a great platform is hard. Platform teams are stretched thin, pulled between keeping the lights on and investing in long-term platform improvements. We are platform engineers and want to help our peers do their best work.

Founding team

Simon Campion

Before Heplon, Simon was a Staff Platform Engineer at DeepL, where he worked on everything from tweaking kernel parameters to building infrastructure abstractions for developers. When he is not thinking about platform engineering, you can find him going for long runs through the woods.

Marvin Strangfeld

Before founding Heplon, Marvin was a Staff DevOps Engineer at DeepL and a founding member of its Developer Experience team, where he built the platforms and workflows used by over 300 engineers. Outside of work, he sails when the weather cooperates and plays whichever instrument is closest at hand.
